Estate Sale Time!

It looks like the tag sale season is over here in the northeast. Waaaaaahhh!! Alright – enough crying. Time to go to some estate sales! I found two estate sales to go to this weekend. The first one I attended was on it’s second day so prices were reduced. Most of the items in the photos were still there so I think that there original prices were too high. I picked up this cool vintage motorcycle helmet for $5. I love the sparkly blue color. It has some condition issues but I’m hoping someone might be interested in it as a decor piece.

This sale also had an area of vintage dolls. I purchased this set of Pocketbook dolls for $7. These dolls are not very valuable and these have some dirt on them that I couldn’t clean off but I have never sold these before and I really wanted to learn about them. I also picked up this Midge doll from 1962. She comes in a vintage Barbie dress called Garden Party. She was $5.

I purchased a Penny Brite doll. These dolls are fairly common but since she came with her original case, I thought she could have some value. She is from the 1960s. Another doll I bought there is this Puffalump Kids Christmas doll by Fisher Price. She was only $1. I have had good luck selling the Puffalump animals before but never saw one like this. I think it may bring $10. That’s not as good as some of the animals.

I also picked up this Wizzzer top from 1969. Me and my brother played with these tops when we were young! The rubber tip of the top is cracked and dry but I’m hoping that since this has the box, instructions, and accessories, it will still sell. I also found a vintage Christmas piece which is this knee hugger elf on a wicker sled.

Finally, I found this empty Bosco bottle from the 1980s in the basement of one of the houses. I looked up comps and saw that one had sold for $40, so for $1 I picked it up. I was a Bosco lover as a child.
