Vintage Fisher Price, Peanuts, Christmas and a Japanese Doll

One of my favorite finds from this weekend is not the most valuable but I think it is the most charming. It is a vintage Christmas “card” which is really more like a book, from 1951. It has all kinds of pop-ups, moving parts and attached items. I think this kind of item would have been so magical to a child receiving it. It still seemed kind of magical to me as I was looking at it. The monkey life guard has a genuine sealed lifesaver candy next to him and on the last page Santa is holding a real noisemaker/blower.

This was found at a church sale I attended on Friday. Another favorite item I found there was this Japanese doll. She came in a pretty decorated cardboard box.

I also found a vintage clothespin holder featuring a cute cartoon of Snoopy and Woodstock. I believe it is from the 1960’s.

The best find from a reselling view was probably this Tumi bag. It has a lot of separate compartments and a built in wallet. I had a hard time figuring out whether it is blue or black. I decided it is a dark navy.

The next day I went to another sale where I picked up some vintage Fisher Price items including this sink set and money changer. I think you’re supposed to really be able to use the sink with water. If you pump the faucet I believe the water comes out.

Another item I found at this sale was this interesting small metal box. My friend let me know that it is a cash box. It has a key hole but I don’t have the key. It was filled with old buttons and sewing notions so I am selling it all together. It is marked Made in Czechoslovakia.

This sale also had a big pile of plush which is one of my favorite things. The only item I pulled out was this giant Snorlax from Pokemon.

He’s a big guy at about 20″ tall. Those are the highlights from the sales I attended this weekend!
